Job Summary
A seventy-five (75) hour per pay period, Temporary Full-Time Summer Maintenance Worker Contract position is being offered in the Radiant Care Pleasant Manor Maintenance department. This is a non-union position which supports Radiant Care Pleasant Manor and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The approximate start date of this position is to be determined and will last up to 16 weeks.
This positions is dependent on the approval of the Canada Summer Jobs government grant funding.
Schedule
Monday - Friday 07:00 - 15:00
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Summer students working in this capacity are responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the buildings and grounds keeping, as well as other maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to,
- Demonstrated experience in landscaping and lawn maintenance
- Demonstrated experience in painting and general building maintenance
- An interest to work in a senior’s environment
Mandated Criteria
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
